Silver Spring, Md Sligo Creek Park – Changes Proposed for Sligo Golf Course and Other Park Facilities
March 20th, 2007 Categories: Silver Spring Neighborhoods
The Montgomery County Revenue Authority has proposed changes to the Sligo Creek Golf
Course. They want to add a lighted tiered driving range and a minature golf course ( but not a “tacky” or “carnival” type course) The neighboring community is NOT Happy about the changes and has rejected the planned changes. Read the Washington Post Article from last week. Not everyone is opposed to the minature golf course at the Sligo Creek Location, a noted Silver Spring Blogger and native of Silver Spring “Sligo” has a different opinion about this.
If you want to have some input in what happens in and to our parks – Show up at this forum and comment or give written testimony. I know I will be there lobbying for my pet project, the much needed off-leash DOG PARK in Silver Spring!
