I'm suspicious of Emily and Steve's comments above coming in just one day apart and making the same complaint.

This pharmacist actually helped me through a crisis with an inept so called geriatric specialist doctor who changed my mother's blood pressure medication and caused her BP to shoot up to dangerous levels. The nurse at this doctor's office passed my messages on to the doctor about my concerns--and fears--but this doctor NEVER responded. The pharmacist explained what could be happening and was willing to discuss his knowledge with the doctor, but she would not respond. The pharmacist took time and sat down with me and gave me a mini lesson on what factors could cause a jump in BP including a change in elevation-from one region of the country to another--which was the case with my mother moving from a mountainous state to here.

I also know that during the recent snow storms that had so many elderly people strapped inside, the pharmacist checked on some of his customers to see if they were ok, making sure they were in supply of their medications.

Because he was so thorough with me and showed a personal concern, I switched from CVS and have never looked back. No more lines and worse yet, no more impersonal treatment by harried pharmacists and clerks who are overworked by the sheer volume.

It is our responsibility to check our medications no matter where we get them from.

Avoid Upscale Care Pharmacy! The pharmacist gave me the wrong prescription about six months ago, which I caught by googling the pill on the internet. Instead of my blood pressure medicine, he gave me an anti-depressant. I should have switched pharmacies, but I didn't. Next, when we transferred my daughter's prescription to CVS, he sent the incorrect dosage which created a lot of problem. When we dediced to finally transfer everything to CVS, he wouldn't send the information until we called numerous times. He is very unethical.

DO NOT GET YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS FILLED HERE! They have given me the wrong pills, printed incorrect information on the labels, and never pick up their phone. It is dangerous to go to this pharmacy. Instead go to CVS on Georgia ave where they print labels on their prescriptions that describe what the pills look like so there is no danger of a mistake being made.

HI Debbie,

I have been reading your blogs for quite sometime, and I just wanted to say that your blog is fantastic. I love your descriptions, and your pictures are always a great accent to your content.

Anyways, I just wanted you to know, that your blog has taught me a lot about blogging, and writing for my local markets.

Thanks! :)

I LOVE this pharmacy. They have delivered multiple prescriptions to my home for me and are always pleasant to deal with. I am very excited about their new location as now they will be much more accessible. I find the pharmacy staff to be completely out of the league of the likes of Rite Aid and CVS (both of whom I've had prescription filling problems with in the past). Definitely support this local family-owned business if you can!
